Hard to describe how appalling this road surface is. Like builders hardcore. You wouldn't ride your own horse on it, despite it being a bridleway. Almost like someone is trying to put you off. Only worth it for the pretty little pebble beach at the weir, or if you like a bit of a sick challenge.
